The Collective Bargaining Agent union of Associated Industries Limited, Amangarh Nowshera, has served upon the management a demand notice for Bonus bearing No. AIL/EU/7 dated 28-06-2008. The issue was discussed between the parties bilaterally. In a meeting held on 05-08-2008, an agreement was promoted between the parties on the following terms:-
The Management has decided to pay one-month salary (Basic Pay + COLA) As statutory bonus under section 10-C of West Pakistan Industrial & Commercial Employment (Standing Orders) Ordinance 1986.
Keeping in view the good relation of the employees and the management and in order to accommodate the financial burden of the employees, the management has also decided to pay 5 (Five) months and 29 (Twenty Nine) days (Basic Pay + COLA) as ex-gratia bonus to all unionized staff.
It was mutually agreed to payy one statutory bonus and ex-gratia bonus both equivalent to 6 (Six) months and 29 (Twenty Nine) days (Basic Pay + COLA) to all permanent employees of the company who were on the pay roll of the company on 30th June 2008, except Management staff (Officers) this statutory bonus + ex-gratia bonus for the year ending 30th June 2008.
All eligible permanent employees with less than one year service as on 30th June 2008, shall received statutory bonus & ex-gratia payment on pro-rata basis and calculation in all such cases shall be made strictly. According to procedure. Leave without pay for up-to 40(forty) days would be condoned for this purpose and cost of living allowance would be added to basic pay drawn by the eligible employees on 30th June 2008, for the purpose of calculation of the amount payable to each employee.
Employees who wish to pay up advance outstanding against their names are welcome to exercise their option to do so.
The Management has very special case, decided for this occasion only, that the above Bonus & ex-gratia bonus payment will also made to all those employees who died or retired from the service of the company.
